Well my winter vacation is over. I spent some time with my oldest sister (I'm the oldest sibling) and her family in Hattiesburg, then with my Dad, Stepmother and the middle sister in Bruce (youngest sister is hiding out in Colorado somewhere avoiding me), then over to Columbus to visit with my old friend Chris who was down from NH with his wife to visit with his folks. I spent a lot of my vacation in my car.
Visiting with everyone was a lot of fun and getting to see the nieces open presents is always a lot of fun. Why manufacturers hate kids I don't really understand but letting kids open gifts and then immediately having to take those gifts away so you can get the damnable packaging wire and tape and bubble wrap off is just cruel. It took me 10 minutes to get a Dora bus out of its packaging and half hour to get a Barbie house put together before the girls could play with it.
Dad and Angie (my step mom) were doing well, I was well fed and all was well with the world. I'll try to stop using the word 'well' now. I think Jamie (middle sister) liked her gift. At least it didn't take her long to fill up that mp3 player.
Chris and his family were doing well ..uh..They seemed to be getting along without too many problems. New Years was a quiet affair. No booze, no fireworks just a bunch of us playing some games around a table. This was actually fun for a change of pace.
Hope everyone out there had a good vacation and now let's all get back into the swing of things.
PS: Boss if you read this, I AM SO SORRY there was noway I could have known that video card would not work with your old PC. Hope that doesn't end up being too much of a problem. (DAMN YOU DELL!)
